Ann Fuehrer

Ann Fuehrer holds an appointment in the Women's Studies Program, and is an Affiliate in Psychology. She came to Miami in 1981, and directed the Women's Studies Program for 4 1/2 years. She identifies as a feminist psychologist, as well as an organizational and community psychologist. Her teaching, scholarship and consultation with organizations elaborate feminist and social constructionist perspectives. Her areas of interest and expertise focus on women's experiences in the workplace, and in feminist learning environments. She has published 12 journal articles, 2 book chapters, and 4 other publications, and has made over 40 conference presentations. Her articles have appeared in journals such as the Journal of Social Issues, Sex Roles, Feminism & Psychology,and the Journal of Counseling Psychology. She has served on the editorial boards of the Journal of Community Psychology, and the American Journal of Community Psychology, and has been a panel member for the NSF Minority Graduate Student Fellowship program. She is actively involved in the mentoring of graduate students in the social and clinical programs, having had 18 students graduate with Ph.D.'s, and she is currently chairing 1 dissertation.
